This is no different than the dilemma with nuclear weapons. From the moment some physicians started understanding where the math was leading them, the equation has not changed- #1 This is a disaster which WILL lead to world destroying consequences. #2 If we refuse to develop it and other parties do (which they WILL) we're even more @#$!ed . We're still living with that and throwing AI into the mix as well.
