I could, theoretically imagine a point where "AI" (actual AI, not what corporate capitalism has been peddling as AI) could achieve an equivalent of the artists experiences influencing their work.
But for that to have a human frame of reference it'd need human sources. Else the experiences would (probably) be fundamentally inhuman, and at best fall in the uncanny valley.
Before we get there AI inbreeding would just lead to a perpetuation of garbage in, garbage out.
But herein lies part of the problem. Your amazon equivalents aren't going to care if the AI bastardized products still sell... And we've already seen the willingness of the average consumer to consume garbage.
The issue has never been with AI, but with people... The people in power, the people selling, the people buying.
