Finally a critique of UBI that is more than "Conservatives like it so it is automatically bad" or advocating for backwards "full employment"... the concerns raised are valid but I would argue insufficient to completely oppose it... as otherwise we simply risk the same outcome minus the income.
The liberal argument of it threatening programs is wrong for much the same reasons as mentioned with regard to unemployment benefits... but I would argue that unless the you can magic up a revolutionary army tommorow we need to back a UBI as a viable means to reduce suffering... sure it props up the capitalist classes and may be a tojan horse but realistically what alternative do we have... keeping in mind accelerationism is cruel, unethical, and strategically flawed given the very real risk of driving people towards fascism instead.
