I think it says a lot that the Picasso example kind of starts with the result and works backward. Like, if Picasso had no arms he couldn't create the paintings he created with arms, and thus AI would help armless Picasso to create what we know he painted. But, Armless Picasso, as a real hypothetical artist, would have simply made different art. Not better, not worse--just different because he would be starting with different experiences and utilizing different techniques. The AI supporters seem to think art is about knowing the exact final result and making that perfectly formed thought into something others can see, too, and that "good" art depends on how perfectly their thoughts are made manifest, no matter the method used. When they struggle to make "good" or "perfect" art on their own (and are unwilling to put in the effort to improve), they reframe their self-perceived failure as a disability.
