Have used ai due to lack of funds and I will say it should never be branded as therapy. What it can do is give you a free space to vent and reflect upon what's been happening in your mind and in your life. It can identify patterns and such and bring it to your attention. So far I recommend Ash, which is free, and gives you the option up front to allow you to turn off data collection for training. It has a weekly report/assessment sort of thing. But echo chambers are a real concern. The ai operates only with the information you give it. It lacks the ability to empathize or contradict when needed. Keep that in mind.
