The problem here is survival. Companies are only waiting for a little bit longer for AI to be just some more ready to substitute as many people as possible in their jobs. Companies are the real mother of AI, they have been supporting and investing in their creature for so long. Now it's time to harvest the amazing profits it will bring to them and to lay off thousands of people without any prejudice. It's already happening. Who is first assisting you whenever you contact a customer center? AI don't eat, don't need breaks, don't get sick, don't need vacation leaves. It's perfect for corporations.
