AI has generally had very little success so far in improving the performance of companies and it routinely gives me incorrect answers to my relatively simple questions. And when I point that out to it, it agrees, apologizes, and then gives me a different answer that may or may not be correct. None of this seems to be a characteristic of something that is about to take over everything within a few years.
And all the trillions of dollars associated with AI are just flowing in circles between the handful of AI developers and their suppliers, nothing of much value to anything outside the AI bubble or anyone else. Yet this huge but largely useless circular flow of AI funds is being considered "value" and boosting stock indices to record highs. Instead of the end of humanity, it appears more likely we'll soon have a burst of the massive AI bubble.
