My dad was one the people that worked on ARPANET. If anyone doesn't know what that is, the project that created the internet. The internet was originally supposed to be a tool to increase the broad-spectrum of human intelligence. He told me true AI would be unachievable. We can not transfer the human consciousness into technology, we learn by perceiving and experiencing things that computers just aren't capable of. Programing in itself is list of commands, a detailed list of instructions. We put in our own knowledge, it fundamentally limited to that knowledge. That isn't learning. So when i see LLM, OpenAI, GenAi all called AI i knew it was almost laughable. Saying Midjounrey is learns art is like say calculators learn math. From everything my dad taught me thats just not how programing works. Saying it is AI is just marketing gimmick. It 's snake oil, really.
