A lot of people would claim using ai at all to generate art is bad because of the ABSURD amount of energy it uses alone. I also think despite the mindset of it not being harmful to generate stuff for yourself it comes in that weird grey area of encouraging others to still use what is stolen artwork rather than just gathering references to create a moodboard of what they want toeither commision or try to draw themselves even if poorly. You want to design a fun lil character go make one in a character creator app or picrew, ideas were meant to be made not frankenstiened from a ton of stolen assets from a machine designed to replace those very people who draw those ideas.
Also Ai "artists" claiming its a tool is so silly just pick a pencil from ANYWHERE and some cheap drawing pad and bam you can learn to be an artist with any of the numerous FREE resources out there.
