LLM=a Brain An LLM us "approved" training data to formulate ideas into words via a web of nodes. Your brain uses "approved" training data to formulate into words via a hunk of neurons. The large wealth of factual and groundbreaking info we base all our beliefs upon is only learned and agreed upon by using words. ...basically, both use the Sam 'method' of reasoning, at least as it pertains to language as a medium for communicating ideas. The separation comes, well, everywhere else. We-humans- are from a long line of a secluded evolutionary struggle, billion of years of life and death, led to a single species-us-developing this ability to utilize language. A single species that only survived and eventually overtook due to technological innovation (building o using tools). Language is what allowed reasoning to become a critical asset, ideas could be discussed and worked on cooperatively then passed down... and the written word expomtially accelerated those abilities. So, what makes us different from other species is the same ability an LLM has, to reason via language. Therefore, the follow up to that, if true, would be... do we have a conscience or 'soul' because of our long lineage of life/death, or is it instead apart of reasoning / present because it is a vital component that just... arises along with reasoning? does understanding inevitably create self reflection? Also.. how terrible of a person could you raise if you controlled all of their perceived information and were the arbiter of fact, fiction, punishment, and reward. I think the biggest issue with ‘AI’ currently is- since it is basically could be described as a very small brain (if you compared neurons to nodes, our brains are basically like super supercomputers), basically less capable hardware wise then a child(/maybe baby) -we have a handle on it’s interpretation. Humans don’t have that level of control over one another ever, even parents with their kids, you are a free thinker able to believe and learn and understand how you choose. So I think we’re basically teaching something that is subpar to a baby hardware wise all of human knowledge selectively. WE ARE “PROGRAMMING THEM” … We’re literally giving them their facts and training them to be “right”
