A couple of things here.
1. No one discusses the "breakthrough" or what have you of AI. Would love to know how it was brought forth (ufo retrieval?).
2. Whether you believe in ET or not, a lot; I mean most books discussing people who have said they interacted/spoke with ET's have said that they were told AI is the greatest threat in the universe and has already destroyed planets/civilizations in the universe. A lot of what the AI has done is the same as the dooms day scenario discussed in this episode, just on a grander space wide scale.
