18:40 ish — AI “beings” “don’t want to be turned off” because “they want to achieve the goals we gave them.” WTF? This guy obviously knows more about AI than most people, but his assumptions and reasoning might warrant some examination. We need more people like Bernardo Kastrup, who have skills in information technology and the philosophy of language, to look at the deep structure of the claims being made about AI, so we can think more carefully about what is being said, before we go too far on some of these flights of imagination.
