We do not know how brains work at the level of neurons. We do know that nothing in reality is naturally logical gates operating on binary. Don't buy the techbro hype. These are mathematical statistical word salad machines, and nothing more. LLMs are generally like having a very congenial PhD professor with severe autism and signs of dementia. Not quite, but that is the best I can do to anthropomorphize them. Treat them like philosophical zombies - behaviorally similar but experientially empty. Remember that AI is a tool.
