Raw LLM Responses

Lamplighter here, AKA organic, wet-brain Russian-English translator and editor. ChatGPT and Grok have basically taken away all my paying jobs, and killed off sites where I used to bid daily for jobs. This isn't because these services are necessarily better at what I have done now for 50 years. It's more that my old employers THINK they are better and want to cut costs, which are considerable these days -- particularly because of the felt need for technology everywhere and networked-everything. Now at best I might pick up an AI janitorial job cleaning up the hallucinations and interpolations, which pays far less. I'm fortunate to have Social Security now, which isn't enough to live on. AI taking away jobs doesn't necessarily mean those jobs will be done better -- computers everywhere hobble people from doing jobs well -- have you spent your 15-minute allotted time with your automatically scheduled organic doctor lately, who had to spend 10 of those minutes on her computer filling out forms? I myself continue to use generative AI daily, and frankly don't use Anthropic because it net-nannies far too much to effectively use it to translate actual news reports or testimony from human rights atrocities. So I use chatGPT from OpenAI (also a net-nannier, but less) and Grok, despite everyhing about its owner, because it censors the least.
