AI generated music is already ineligible for copyright protection without at least a *"modicum of creativity"* (from a human, of course), which is the standard set by the U.S. Supreme Court and the copyright office has already stated that prompting alone doesn't meet the standard.
Music that isn't eligible for copyright protection *can* still be monetized, but its market value is diminished without copyright protection. So there is already an incentive, under current U.S. law to use AI generated content creatively, rather than simply trying to pass off AI's work as one's own.
