The only time an artist ever “mocks” an ai prompter is when they purposefully refuse to actually put in the effort for something they claim to be passionate about. None of us were born with talent. We grew up tracing over other drawings we like, trying to copy every cool artists style because we didn’t know how to make our own, and over time slowly adapting our skills and getting better at drawing certain things until it became our own art style and we weren’t needing to try and copy off of others anymore. Just like 2-3 years ago I was only drawing bust portraits of the same few characters, never doing anything original and never trying to step out of my comfort zone because I was worried it wouldn’t look good. But then I started, and it didn’t look good just like I thought, but it NOT looking good made me want it to get better, so I just kept practicing. I looked at how other people drew those specific things, studied the different elements and guide lines they used so I could get used to it, then I just took those guide lines and started tweaking them to fit the art style I was currently using. It still didn’t look great, but the more I drew those new things in the art style I was using, the better it started to get. Eventually my art style started to change and be more anatomically correct instead of the kind of chibi style I was using because I wanted to continue exploring things like side profiles, dynamic poses, and perspectives, especially when I started growing an interest for making comics. My art style looks nothing like it did 2-3 years ago, but any of my friends who’ve seen my old art can immediately tell that I’ve not only improved but have grown even more passionate for art because of how happy I would get when my art style would improve and I’d figure out how to do certain things. I’m still not perfect with it. I don’t know how to draw feet or most shoes, I still struggle with certain perspectives, and every guy I try to draw just ends up looking like a twink, but I’m still working on it and really I don’t think I’ll ever stop. There are always ways you can improve your art, whether you’re a beginner that barely even feels confident drawing stick figures, or you’re someone who’s taken multiple classes and studied from professionals, or even if you are those professionals! The only way your art can ever stop adapting and growing is if YOU decide to give up putting in the effort to do so. Two of my brothers used to draw too and really wanted it to be good, but they both eventually gave up because they’d rather put more of their effort into things they were more passionate for instead of something that was more of a hobby or something cool to try out for them. Drawing is just like any other art form. There are people who are incredible at it, and there are people who are more at a beginner level. The only difference between what makes any artist a “good” artist or a “bad” artist is the effort and passion they put into their art, whether it’s drawing, or music, or writing, etc, and whether or not they decide to just “give up” on those passions and desires to create their art.
