Jason Steele aka Filmcow has likened image generators as plagiarism machines, or "image laundering". I find LLM's to be mostly useless. Bamboozle the uniformed, get tech bros wet, that's all that matters. Who cares if the LLM you used to replace your workers fucking sucks at it's job, at least you're not paying for a person anymore!
Machine learning has incredible applications, but it's best used when the task at hands has specific bounds. LLM's and image generators basically need an infinite amount of information, which of course is impossible, but that's also why it's sucking up so much energy. They're gonna try to keep pushing this until it collapses like NFT's and crypto in general, or we're gonna be stuck with this horse shit.
