We need an AI wellbeing tax that is used to take care of us as we start our journey in our new society. Instead of working most of our lives as we do now, we work less and enjoy life more. So we work maybe 20 to 30 hours a week and we retire at age 40 or 50. To pay for it, we have to have an AI or technology tax that both corporations and workers pay. In this new world, we must demand we get more time to spend with our family and friends and we relearn ways to reconnect as humans to our physical, spiritual and natural lives. Food can be engineered as better than organic as AI will have figured out ways to keep the good and safeguard against the bad. It must figure out how we live in an environmentaly balanced world. Super Intelligence may take over most of the heavy thinking to resolve hard problems, but to think and create as a human will still be in our best interests, not the droids. Art and design ideas from pure human thought will be more valuable as there will be less of it as droids are less likely to truly understand our pleasures or emotions. For example, what we feel listening to an old classic rock album where the song takes us back to our high school days or camping out and drinking coffee by a fire listening to nature gives most humans less stress, sense of balance and a calmness that keep us connected. Things that connect us to our natural and analog world will stick out like a sore thumb. Droids can't clone the feelings we have when we interact with nature or the natural world around us. Petting a dog or playing fetch with them or playing with our kids will be from human senses and connections that only we can truly understand. The emotions we get from interacting with other humans and animals are unique. We will treasure these feelings and memories even more in our AI, AGI or SI lifetime. As more and more is done for us and the hard things get taken care of by technology, we may actually get desensitized to it and look for ways to disengage, even unconsciously as much as possible from it. A return to an analog world may make a big comeback as it will be our escape or utopia from a mostly digital world. AI and other tech was built to make life easier. We must hold humanity accountable to ensure we can take full advantage of it. However, humanity must be the gatekeeper to our natural and analog world and we must never forget and never relinquish this responsibility. It should remain our baked in default if we ever need to reset the factory settings.
