having to explain that working digitally isn't anywhere near the same as generating images is beyond frustrating and disheartening. I wonder what those people think of hand-drawn animation and how the workflow in the industry has been digitized for the most part. Their ignorance of the process is so clear to see, but only to ARTISTS. The unrelenting r*pe of artists has gone on for centuries and Ai makes it that much easier. Ai doesn't JUST affect artists, it takes advantage of potentially EVERYONE's images. Ai will continue to improve, but artists will too, at protecting their work.
The future for REAL artists is independent and physical! We have to stick together and support each other. Personally, I support legislation that prohibits generative AI from training its datasets on images without permission and restricts the commercial use of already trained datasets. Great video, and god bless everyone who understands how important this issue is and are actively developing tech solutions to fight back.
