AI art is bad only if it is also bad for a human to draw something in the same style. If i drew something in the same style as Disney characters, but the thing I drew doesn't already exist, I'm perfectly within my rights to do that. Idk why an AI doing it makes a difference. It's not like the AI gets the style out of thin air. It has to be taught, just like we do. It just happens to learn faster than we do.
When cameras came out, people said those were bad, too. "Just pay an artist to do a painting. Don't take a picture." People just freaking out over nothing.
