The zoom camera part is especially heinous to me, tell me you don't understand what your companiy's metrics are for without telling me you don't understand what your company's metrics are for. The whole wanting you to turn on your zoom camera is SUPPOSED TO allow for remote face-to-face contact to facilitate bonding and communication between coworkers and thus a better team and work environment. Shocking absolutely no one who's ever seen someone immediately bond with an inanimate object with googly eyes stuck to it, human beings evolved to feel more connected to people we regularly see face-to-face and communicate better when facial and body cues are included. It is also supposed to help ensure that people are actually paying attention to and being involved in meeting discussions. An AI program not only does not have a zoom camera, it does not have the capacity to form social connections to its coworkers that a camera would enable. It also cannot "loose focus" in group meetings the same way; if it's sucking at keeping up with a group discussion that means it's either not a good model or doesn't have the power to handle all that input. If one of your selling points for this thing is that it won't "turn its video camera off" that just tells me that your management 1) does not understand the basics of human psychology or business management 2) probably only gives a s*** about such metrics as a superficial way to make themselves look better short term and not as actual indicators of company health 3) is probably struggling to either create a work environment where actual humans want to turn their cameras on OR is not appropriately utilizing video calls for situations that actually warrant them and 4) probably lacks critical thinking skills needed to ascertain whether a product will generally add value to your company or is a waste of money. In short, these ads are stupid if you have even a little bit of critical thinking skills and whoever came up with them should feel bad.
