The Powers That Be will use AI to completely erase history. The printed page stuck around for decades, even centuries. Film and analog tape lasts nearly as long. Digital video became problematic, and now, with AI, nothing we see can be trusted. Already, watching history videos on YouTube, are not yet deliberately wrong, but AI hallucinations. I saw on on a battleship duel that never happened. Within a year, I'm certain I will see the image of a historian I trust telling be about events that never happened.
