speaking of stable diffusion, the founder behind it is an absolute piece of sh!t, there was a controversy involving him and this code and he claimed that someone "stole" his code without asking and that he had copyrighted it and he was very upset about it. not verbatim - I'm bad at explaining things but anyone that wants can look it up. anyway, this is the same code that literally uses copyrighted art without any of the artist's permission... so it's like ? you can't have it both ways my guy. and he also said this, copied and pasted from an article/interview with him: "So what is his message to young artists worried about their future career, perhaps in illustration or design? "My message to them would be, 'illustration design jobs are very tedious'. It's not about being artistic, you are a tool". He suggests they find opportunities using the new technology: "This is a sector that's going to grow massively. Make money from this sector if you want to make money, it'll be far more fun"." so yeah... basically saying that artists arent going to make money by doing the kind of art that we actually enjoy doing and that if we actually want to make money we should just join him. just ugh
