There is an aspect of this that is not being discussed ... Many drivers own their own truck. That was a trick to let them think they were in charge; but actually made them a slave. These trucks (AI) are new, and not owned by the driver ... so ... the driver (first/last mile) becomes hourly employee. This is a big win for new drivers as they do not need a truck. Older ... will be phased out ... but will take time. The real impact will be to trains. Why use trains when you have a driverless truck?
