Referring to the discussion around 13:00 about it is nice to get a peek under hood with the introduction of reasoning models. The "reasoning" of the AI is not actually thinking. You are asking it to generate thoughts and use those to make a better answer. They are more akin to notes or partial results or rather than thoughs or intermediate calculations. Importantly, they do NOT correspond with how a model gets to an answer. One paper by Anthropic (I think it was) showed how the LLMs likely do math by a so called ablation study. The tracked how a result came to exists based on model weight activations.
This did not at all correspond with the models own explanation of what it did. This is obvious if you know how the model works. The only produce likely results based on the text in the context (previous discussion + input + "reasoning"), and nothing more!
