Talent is not what I think you should focus on. People putting in work can outshine talented people who don't work / practice as much. AI is here to stay, and it does require learning the proper way of doing it, or the "technique", fine tuning the prompt, understanding the process and adapting to the feedback the machine gives you to achieve the actual creative vision you intended. People often get satisfied with the first product an AI gives them, since it's like magic, but to get the one you actually wanted needs a lot of "steering" it to the goal. I still think copyrighting AI art is an unexplored concept yet, but it would not surprise me to see it in near future.
