If we all lose our jobs nobody will have any money. This means businesses will collapse. Their shares will drop. Also, it means there will be no tax revenues coming in. How can you tax folks who have no income? When the politicians see that they won't get paid and their stock portfolios are crashing, and nobody is buying homes, and nobody is paying rent - AI will be banned yesterday. Change happens only when you mess with folks wealth.
