The only thing I've used it for lately is converting text into equivalent text that's more cumbersome to make (pseudo SQL to real SQL to jump start creation of a database) and a better search engine. The one I've used is Google's, so I think that's fine because I use it responsibly. When I ask it a question, I read the article it links, not the generated response. This has been helpful for Apache configuration I needed to know in order to forward subdomains to a specific service on a different port on my server. These uses in programming are akin to that of the AI cut-out feature in graphics editors I imagine, as I don't prompt the AI to write any real logic, I write all that by hand making sure I understand it to the best of my ability. And if this shit is gone, I know where I can easily access resources (physical books) including ones in my own home I bought.
