I wouldn't label this surveillance capitalism; It's more like surveillance consumerism commerce because capitalism relies on free market, this is anything but free market.
We had precursor laws in place to protect our privacy, just like we had precursor laws in place prior to our most recent child labor laws. This is why our rights must be broad spectrum, as opposed to singular and minutely detailed. This is also why we must never allow a Government to remove God from the equation.
