The only real way to fix the issue with deepfakes is to make the populace aware of their responsibility regarding images of themselves. As soon as you post a picture to the internet you give up autonomy of that image. Don't want someone fucking with your image? DON'T FUCKING POST IT THEN. Problem solved and everyone is smarter for it. It's called personal responsibility and finding a way for law enforcement to get involved in shirking that personal responsibility isn't going to help anyone. This is just like the slut principal in middle school. A girl makes herself out to be a slut to get attention but doesn't realize the ramifications to the particular action and want to go back once the consequences rear their ugly head. Sorry kiddo, you made your bed and now you gotta lie in it.
