I'm more interested in what this says about the artificial nature of human/human relationships than AI tools themselves. For example while watching this I'm thinking, "So my whole dysfunctional-ass family (with narcissistic styles of relating) is basically AI because the things they say rarely ever actually mean anything or come from real emotion." Dysfunctional relationships are the norm and people's psyches are so fractured and numb, most people seem to have lost touch with their capacity for authenticity and self-awareness. Having emotion-centered conversations with AI is starting to feel more organic than those with other humans, how disturbing is that?
