Not only will llm's ( ai does not exist yet, they changed the definition in 2010 so llm's could be classified as ai ) not take jobs they are not creating an entire generation of programmers that will never become advanced programmers. So llm\s can only write code it has copied from somewhere on the web and that is it. The problem is most higher level code is not public and the llm did not train on it and will not be able to help you. Now you have a programmer that did not go through the work of failing then understanding how to write basic code but when they try to write more advanced code they will not have the foundations to do so. So for example i program real time trading systems for wall st, and that code is guarded from both within the company and of course from outside. So llm's will not have trained on this and will not help one bit. The only people that say llm's are gonna take jobs are beginner programmers. As a senior developer you know that will never happen,that is until we get real AI.
