In reality AI is an excuse for big corporations to not pay artists. Why hire an artist for what theyre worth when we can type stuff into a search bar and get it for free? And its made up of combined images of actual artists?
Artists media and the entertainment industry have already struggled with corps not caring about wanting to give a fair pay for their work, or how their working conditions can be. The biggest teller of this is how everyone who is against it are artists and those that are for it tend to be in the tech industry and big companies like these apps who want you to pay for it.
Edit: whats super funny about this is now the same people that support AI art I talk about in this are coming out of the word work to defend it. Too bad, your not gonna change my mind.
