No one asks what happens if AI and robots are doing everything and there are no jobs. The answer is some form of UBI, but where does the UBI come from? After all, for these giant AI companies to make money, they have to sell their widgets and services. There are only two sources of funding: printing money and/or taxing the AI companies making the widgets. If you want to buy a $10 widget (or service), don't you need to tax the company 100% of the price to give people the UBI to buy it, so how do the companies actually make money? Where do the funds for the military, for infrastructure, etc., come from?
