I’m grateful to be a medical doctor. In medicine and other hands-on fields like construction or healthcare, AI will never replace the human touch listening to a patient’s heart, performing surgery, or building a house.
The real risk is for office jobs: clerks, IT staff, data analysts, even many roles in finance. AI is already taking over tasks that only required sitting in front of a computer.
That’s why we shouldn’t let our kids only “follow their passion.” Passion is good, but survival is better. They need to train in fields where human presence is essential because AI is here, and the future will be tough for those who don’t prepare.
