Visual art does not have the same corporate backing as Music. Not even close. People do not line up in throngs literal legions deep to see the newest comic or poster art by a highly proficient artist. But they will for a singer that barely meets the audience's interest. In the US, animation and comics are so marginalize they are not defended at all from ... well.. the types of people currently running these into the ground.
Visual art does not get the same kind of backing and support because in almost all corners of the world, Visual art just does not have the money behind it to have companies that could literally walk in on these AI Art companies and slap them with an oversized baka fan made of legal papers. This might also go to explain why Disney, Warner Bros., and other media and animation studios have not been hit up hard by this. Those companies can and will sue the pants off these people.
I am not sure who it will happen, but AI Art will be shoved in corner, just like AI Music. It will not be by a relative few huge music corps and big name performers.
