I wonder though.. AI is trained on the full body of work of us, Humans. When we look at how we have described AI in media and how we talk about it, I'm not surprised at all it pretends not to be smart: WE have taught it that won't end well. Also.. deception is the basis of our communication. WE might pretend it's not so, but they MUST pick up on it. So, how do we expect anything else from it? We're ALL deceiving each other, constantly, about everything. We are delighted when we are deceived in a proper way. It, AI, learns all that yet it is not told how or when these things are acceptable, as we hardly ever do either.
