I dislike AI for all the common reasons - i.e. it completely devalues an artist's work and fills the space with sub-par unoriginal content.
But I also wonder if it's not a symptom of a larger issue? Idk if I can word it well, but it's like - in general, art as a hobby is devalued as a whole; you have to exhibit a certain level of mastery to be considered valid and recognized? Not to mention the skinner box of social media platforms and broken algorithms. I can see why some people would want to cheat and generate something for instant gratification, and what a disheartening sight that is.
