99% unemployment just isn't plausible. Even 50% unemployment will not happen. If businesses have no customers because everyone is unemployed, then there are no businesses and therefore nobody using AI. Companies need people to have income in order to function. Yes, AI will take jobs and yes AI will mean far more people have less money, but it won't completely wipe out jobs.
