But what they do over ArtStation is years too late. These software engineers were feeding their ecosystem woodchipper with everything art from internet and have more than 1 billion of pictures in high quality from masters to freelancers, professionals and the like, whatever was online in those gallery and portfolio platforms available to the public since 5 years ago. The combos are almost infinite with all of them together.
The only way to fight this is that countries creates new laws for digital rights (China already did a small step, asking all of those AI sites to never remove their watermarks). Slowly but surely both styles, human made and stolen-AI-generated-mashups will coexist, but those using cheap tools to steal from others should not be allowed to cash in under any circumstance, as it should be the case with any petty thief.
