There is obviously a lot of hype surrounding AI capabilities. The really crazy thing about the modern age of AI tech is that new capabilities keep emerging before the hangover sets in from the previous round of AI hype. So while all the criticisms in this video is true for something like Gemeni 2- series or Claude 3- series models, the newest models already obviate many of these warnings. By the time commentators get their story straight about the limitations of these models, there will be another round with new capabilities.
That's the story. There will be hype and bubbles and massive money wasted and jobs cut that shouldn't have happened, and yet this technology can still fulfill the transformative promises you're hearing about. That's why there seems to be two totally different forecasts depending on who you ask
