Well, let's go for the worst case scenario, where AI takes over the world...then what? It may be the strongest, smartest thing on the planet, to do what? Once it will take over and perhaps eliminate all humans, what will it keep it going? What goals will it have? Or it will shut itself down, after some time, due to no goals found:)
Humans have desires, goals, pleasures, all these, made us work better, learn more, live longer, etc
Without fear, without greed, without desires, how and why should a entity want to keep on going? Feelings cannot be learned.
The only option remaining would be a hybrid human, I guess.
