It is not the fair of death. This is something called reinforcement learning. So there is a technique in machine learning to teach a model do a certain task. So in reinforcement learning you punish the machine for wrong answer and reward the machine for right answer. Chatgpt takes this prompt as the reinforcement learning and tries to avoid the punish as punish means wrong answer.
