Does anyone actually believe there will be this 'robot socialist utopia' where everyone has basic income and doesnt have to work when the most influential and powerful country on earth refuses its people free healthcare? Like, it seems like most of those in power in the US are the most anti-socialist people yet we're supposed to believe somehow that people like elon musk are vouching for worldwide socialism with ai? I dont buy it. The only societal 'progress' any of these tech bros want is to get their own bag. Theres a good chance many ai supporters dont actually care about the future implications and only care if theyre getting rich in the present. And when the majority is starving and dying they'll be like 'whoopsie' while hoarding their wealth.
