Uh, the camera makes the photo. Right? The photographer doesn't create the photo by hand. It's all digital these days. I use to have to spend hours in the dark room. Not anymore. Photos are copyrighted. I take my AI-generated images and work on them by hand in Photoshop using a digital pen. Is that art? As an artist with two MFAs, I've done a tone of paintings. What if I take an AI-generated image, print it out on canvas, and paint by hand all over it with brushes. Maybe I take the AI-generated piece and copy it onto a canvas using charcoal, then paint the image with oils. Where is the line to be drawn? I'm sure when photography first hit the gallery, artists were screaming about it. Now, fine art photography is accepted. Go figure. Do animators these days color the cells of Disney cartoon characters by hand? That's a laugh. Do filmmakers get hammered for creating special effects using AI and whatever other tech they can come up with?
