Love the video and I totally agree with your points about AI being flawed. I do want to clarify why I believe some people can or should use AI in the art space. AI art, in my opinion, should be used as a tool for inspiration to help you explore ideas, styles, lighting, composition, or concepts you might want your art to resemble. It can be useful for brainstorming or visualizing rough ideas. What it shouldn’t be used for is tracing, copying, or reposting as your own work. AI is flawed, and beyond that, relying on it as a copy paste shortcut removes the creative process and skill development that make art meaningful in the first place. As someone who’s more on the tech side, current AI systems are still limited. What we have today is not Artificial General Intelligence. AGI would be a system capable of learning and applying knowledge across many domains at a human level without needing task specific training. What we currently have is Artificial Narrow Intelligence. These systems are built for specific tasks like generating text or recognizing images. They do not truly understand information, they recognize and reproduce patterns from large datasets. It is also not just a hardware limitation. We still do not fully understand human cognition well enough to replicate general intelligence. There are major scientific challenges that remain unsolved.
