AI art prompted to be in the style of a real artist is stealing. When people take inspiration from artists, there's a human element added in. That person's unique style, all their many life experiences and many inspirations affect the artwork and change the outcome. Humans are not formulaic machines, no matter what kind of inspiration you pull from an artist you admire, a person's artwork will always be unique to them. Computers cannot fabricate ideas and inspiration like a person can, it only takes what it can see and fills in the blanks with data it gathers from that artist's works. Its not a unique product, it's completely stolen from an artist. If a person traced, it would also be stealing, and what a computer does is basically advanced tracing! People who claim that AI art is real art don't understand how much time, practice, and effort it takes to be an artist. Making art is a skill that can't be replicated by computers, because it's so innately tied to individual human experiences and it's a skill that takes years to master, not three seconds.
