I saw a documentary about this fight. The human in the ring is the owner of a model B2 robot called the "Battling Maxo", which in reality, never stood a chance against the modern B7 robot you see here. That was supposed to be the fight: The B2 Maxo vs the sleek and sexy B7. Unfortunately, Battling Maxo malfunctioned right before the fight (I believe it ran out of oil paste) and the owner was forced to stand in its place and fight the vicious B7 because well, no fight - no money. As you can see, it didn't end well.
