AI needs to be trained very carefully in a professionally controlled environment using work that the artists or photographers consented to submitting. These constraints would eliminate stolen art issues and help make sure the AI isn't trained on "bad data" or worse, other AI images which necessarily creates a downward spiral. I don't mind AI art when done right, but corporations trying to make a profit on this, like they do with everything, end up doing shady stuff to squeeze all the blood from the stone, like unleashing AI algorithms on the Internet without a fence.
