My answer to all of the comments asking to define conciousness is this:
Consciousness is the ability to decide for ourselves or to better define it "the ability to produce new conclusion with available data". If i'm not mistaken A.I. only collects the data that internet has, analyses it and only gives the answer that would satisfy the question, while a human can take 2 different text and come up with a conclusion that wasn't given in the original texts or see beyond the question, the intention of said question. Also for now the A.I. doesn't have the ability to invent anything new while humans consantly do, even the smallest things like slang. I believe defining A.I. as sentinent would only be possible if we could replicate the complex human brain as a "virtual brain" using various codes, and since we still don't have all the knowledge about ourselves, we can't develop anything as complex as our own selves
